Spring Break Vacation

For Spring Break we tagged along with my parents and hit the road for Chillicothe, OH to see my Aunt Pat and her awesome family. Eric had to work, poor guy, so it was just Bella, Nana, Poppy and myself for 14 hours in the car there and back, and man did we have fun!

It was such a relaxing trip. Bella was an excellent travel buddy in the car, and I dominated the alphabet game. Plus we got some great one on one time with the folks. In addition, I got my road trip fixes, I got to eat at Cracker Barrel on the way and Red Lobster on the way back. Overall, our travel time was awesome.

Once we got there my beautiful Aunt took great care of us. We were able to relax around the house and play in "Aunt Pat's playground" A georgous pond with fearless frogs and a playset all right in teh back yard. There is a hot tub there too but being pregnant (and technically allergic to hot tubs--long story) I was not able to indulge.

It was so nice to see my Aunt Pat, Uncle John and awesome cousins. I was thrilled to meet my cousin Tim's lovely fiance Ashley. Here they are!


In addition we saw my cousin Shelli and her lovely daughter Sierra, as well as my cousins Mike and Dan.

One of our days we spent out and about in Chillicothe, We went to an awesome candy store that reminded me of Penny Annie's and then went to a beautiful park where we fed the geese and played in the playground.




We had excellent home cooked dinners at the house cooked by my folks and the Boyles, and man was it impressive to feed all 12 people.


Bella's favorite part was the ice cream for dessert.



Overall it was an awesome way to spend Spring Break! It was a nice distance away by car, and then a couple of relaxing and we returned on Wednesday so Bella and I still had some time to hang out with Eric when we got back.

20 weeks!!! I need to start smiling in these pics :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I love St Patrick's Day. Even without the beer it's one of my favorite holidays. I love to cook a homemade meal of corned beef with cabbage and veggies and of course one of the best parts of the day is the Lawrence St. Patrick's Day Parade. This has been one of my favorite events for years, especially now that Bella can enjoy it too. And she sure did enjoy it! We parked our Truck downtown the day before and then joined Nana there before the parade started. We were all in green and ready to go!


Bella loved watching the parade, She especially liked it when they brought candy around!

The Recycling float was one of my favorites and of course the spaceship!


And of course our very favorite was Poppy's Willy Wonka Float. Jerry looked awesome and we loved seeing Poppy rock that Banjo!

We saw other friends as well. Becca and Ceri were a part of the Tiny K float and my friend Christie and members of my former Mom group were out with her new business, an awesome play gym for kids. I'll put up more details once they open.

Overall it was a long, but very fun parade. Bella stuck through the whole thing like a champ and then took a nice nap before dinner. We then had Nana and Poppy over for our traditional Irish feast and packed for Ohio. It was an awesome start to a great Vacation!!

Bella's new big girl room!

Most of the colors were either already in use in her room or the baby's room. We can't have rogue colors!



Getting the feeling this will be repeated many times in the near future...






Seriously, you tell her "no." Go ahead. I'll wait.



Trish and I have lately been having a BLAST getting Bella ready to move into her new big girl room. We've been spending time organizing, painting, organizing and moving stuff around! this past weekend, we devoted a lot of time to painting/refurbishing a new dresser (or "bureau" to Bella...seriously, what 3YO says "bureau"?) and an art table/cabinet thing for her. Memorable Monday--AND BIG NEWS!

This beautiful girl is going to be a BIG SISTER!!! We are expecting our 2nd beautiful baby mid-August! So we still have LOTS to blog about!

Thanksgiving 2011--Catch up #1

Yep, it's true, we're that behind. So I'm going to post/summarize some of the fun and major events since the old computer finally punked out. So to start.... a brief post on Thanksgiving.

We got to celebrate Thanksgiving in Colorado this year and it was BEAUTIFUL. We were able to take multiple walks to the park. Here are some of my favorite shots of our outdoor adventures.

A much needed break was also part of the plan, we had time to just lounge around the Neuteboom house and enjoy family. Bella had the chance to play with her cousins Gabe and Paul and Eric and I got to catch up with Heidi, Chris, Connie and J.P. Sadly we were so relaxed we forgot to take pictures of the adorable cousins. D'oh! We did get some good family shots, including two of which we used on our Christmas Card.

We also had the chance to take Bella to her first movie in the movie Theater. We saw Puss in Boots which I have to say was not my favorite of the Shrek writers but it was pretty cute, we only had to leave 3 times.

We also celebrated Eric's Birthday in Colorado with presents, a super fun dinner at Gunther Toody's and free babysitting from Mimi and Poppy Boom while Eric and I hit the town. We had an awesome date!


Overall it was a really fun trip, very relaxing and exactly what we needed after such a stressful semester. I look forward to heading that way again soon!

Okay, I know we're lame!!!

But we have good reason....Really!!! We've had no Internet at home for the past month! We finally have it back up and running, rewired in fact thanks to my friend Edward who works for Knology! We also have new desktop computer and have finally downloaded all our picture files from our Internet back up Mozy. Point being that we WILL update Baby Boom, We have birthday parities, holidays and lots of fun news/events to share. So stay tuned more to follow soon!!!
