Dangerous Damsels! Come see my Show!!

Hey All,

This weekend I'm thrilled to be acting on the great Lawrence Arts Center Stage for the first time in several years. As much as I love performing myself I haven't actually been on stage since playing Margalo for two weeks at the Coterie Theater in KC over Christmas of 2006....That's right 2006! So here is your chance to see me act, sing and as frightening as it sounds....dance.

Below is the Press Release for this outstanding Melodrama:

DANGEROUS DAMSELS: An original Melodrama written by Ric and Jeanne Averill for the Apple Valley Farm theater in the 1990's will be revived at the Lawrence Arts Center for two performances only on Friday September 25th and Saturday September 26th at 7:30pm. Tickets are only $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors.

The Apple Valley Melodrama tradition will come to life including; audience participation (boo the villain, cheer for the hero, and sigh for the heroine) and beer and popcorn. Sing a longs will start out the evening and Vaudeville Olio acts will follow the two act comedy.

Some of Lawrence, KS' funniest comedians will take the stage including; Jeanne and Ric Averill, Trish Averill Neuteboom, Laurie and Charles McLane Higginson, Doug Weaver, and Jerry Mitchell. Stage Manager Danny Rogovein may even make a rare appearance ON STAGE!

The Melodrama tells the story of three beautiful and dangerous damsels who rebel against their thespian servitude to an evil theatrical entrepreneur(Ric Averill) and his Hench cowboy (Jerry Mitchell--known to many as Victor Continental). There plots to kill the villain go awry as they put their fate solely in the hands of the audience!

Don't miss this great comedy troupe sharing more than 20 years of melodrama experience with Lawrence, Topeka, Kansas City, Eudora, Oskaloosa, and Tonganoxie once again!

How do I love thee, let me count the ways.

Life has thrown Eric and I a few curveballs lately and apparently life is Zack Greinke cause I'm not hitting them! So I thought I'd focus on the things in my life that are amazing, and the most amazing of them all are my husband and daughter so this is a shout out to my incredible husband. 50 reasons I love you in no particular order.

I love....

1. how you bring me ice cream and rice bags in bed when I've had a long day.

2. how you make Isabella laugh harder and more often then anyone else.

3. how you can fix ANYTHING!

4. how you are so dedicated to your family, ours together and your Colorado family.

5. how you will help out anyone you care for, for free or for a six pack

6. your incredibly generous nature

7. the way you play with our daughter.

8. The way you stand up for me.

9. watching Top Chef with you and coming up with creative meals in the kitchen

10. That you truly are a better driver than I am

11. that you go the extra mile for the people you love.

12. how you always hold my hand and wink at me at weddings during the mushy stuff.

16. That you fall asleep at night when we try to watch movies.

That's right! Our girl is mobile.



Sorry to be gone for a bit, it's been an eventful past couple of weeks. My Grandmother passed away on September 5th and we had a beautiful funeral honoring her on Tuesday the 8th. There have been some upheavals in our life that I don't particularly want to talk about on the blog, just know that we are doing great. We are healthy and in love with a beautiful healthy baby.



A special shout out goes to our amazing friend Seth Jones and his beautiful ladies, we are so sorry for your loss.

Okay, a new post is in the making announcing the awesome melodrama I will be performing in next weekend. After that I'll try to get a Bella crawling video to you.
