Most of the colors were either already in use in her room or the baby's room. We can't have rogue colors!



Getting the feeling this will be repeated many times in the near future...

Trish and I have lately been having a BLAST getting Bella ready to move into her new big girl room. We've been spending time organizing, painting, organizing and moving stuff around! this past weekend, we devoted a lot of time to painting/refurbishing a new dresser (or "bureau" to Bella...seriously, what 3YO says "bureau"?) and an art table/cabinet thing for her. Here are some of the finished photos. What do you think?

This beautiful girl is going to be a BIG SISTER!!! We are expecting our 2nd beautiful baby mid-August! So we still have LOTS to blog about!

Thanksgiving 2011--Catch up #1

Yep, it's true, we're that behind. So I'm going to post/summarize some of the fun and major events since the old computer finally punked out. So to start.... a brief post on Thanksgiving.

We got to celebrate Thanksgiving in Colorado this year and it was BEAUTIFUL. We were able to take multiple walks to the park. Here are some of my favorite shots of our outdoor adventures.

A much needed break was also part of the plan, we had time to just lounge around the Neuteboom house and enjoy family. Bella had the chance to play with her cousins Gabe and Paul and Eric and I got to catch up with Heidi, Chris, Connie and J.P. Sadly we were so relaxed we forgot to take pictures of the adorable cousins. D'oh! We did get some good family shots, including two of which we used on our Christmas Card.

We also had the chance to take Bella to her first movie in the movie Theater. We saw Puss in Boots which I have to say was not my favorite of the Shrek writers but it was pretty cute, we only had to leave 3 times.

We also celebrated Eric's Birthday in Colorado with presents, a super fun dinner at Gunther Toody's and free babysitting from Mimi and Poppy Boom while Eric and I hit the town. We had an awesome date!


Overall it was a really fun trip, very relaxing and exactly what we needed after such a stressful semester. I look forward to heading that way again soon!

Okay, I know we're lame!!!

But we have good reason....Really!!! We've had no Internet at home for the past month! We finally have it back up and running, rewired in fact thanks to my friend Edward who works for Knology! We also have new desktop computer and have finally downloaded all our picture files from our Internet back up Mozy. Point being that we WILL update Baby Boom, We have birthday parities, holidays and lots of fun news/events to share. So stay tuned more to follow soon!!!

To Blog or Not to Blog

That's the question, So we're bringing it to you the readers. Eric and I are not sure our readership is well... existent. We're both on facebook and often post there as well so we're wondering if we need to keep up two social media sites or just one. In addition, I'm not the prolific writer in my family and don't have capacity to write the interesting stories such as you find on Kendall or Seth's blog so I put a lot of pictures, Some may say too many pictures. So we look to you for feedback,
So here we go, I'd love some feedback from you the readers/viewers, If you don't mind please take a minute to fill out our surveys.

Annual Averill/Tate/Neuteboom Pumpkin Patch Trip!

It's that time of year again... My FAVORITE time of year in fact. Within the beautiful fall is one of my very favorite traditions. The annual pumpkin patch trip. Dad and I starting taking Sophie to the pumpkin patch when she was about 2 or 3 years old. They continued the tradition while I was away at college and now we've added my incredible husband and his family and of course our beautiful girl Bella. This year we timed it perfectly and were able to have the Neutebooms join us as well as Sophie's boyfriend Matt, it was an excellent time as always.
We always stop by to see how tall we are, I think everyone but Bella has stopped growing but it's still worth it!



This seemed to be the first year Bella really picked out her pumpkins, she was in full control of her choices and loaded them up in the wagon as soon as she had decided. We have 5 little pumpkins (literally) along the wall.




The animals are part of the fun for Bella, this year she fed them with bits of grass.

Pumpkin Launch is always an annual tradition as well and until this trip not a single one of us had successfully hit a target. However, our new addition, Matt managed to do so on his first try. Good way to impress the family I think!!!

And of course, we always end our trip with a family portrait. Eric and my first portrait became our save the date cards and we've been capturing our trip to the patch ever since! Only this year, Bella wanted to challenge the traditional position.


We got a great one anyway!

I think Sophie and Matt had fun!


And as usually we ended up with pumpkin carving and Chili, This year was more pumpkin stickering than carving but adorable all the same.
